George, Jackson Brigade Abraham Guillen Press 2002 9.78E+12

New Trade paperback (US). 38 p. Audience: General/trad

The George Jackson Brigade was an armed guerilla group that operated in the Pacific Northwest in the 1970s and was one of the most unique political formations that developed during a period of revolutionary armed struggle within the US. According to Bo Brown, an ex-Brigade member some people in the Brigade called themselves Marxist-Leninists, some people called themselves anti-authoritarians. We were not all white. We were not all anything, we were pretty diverse actually. Half of us were women. Half of those women were lesbians. We were probably 90% working class, 75% ex-convicts, and we were tired of armchair revolutionaries who read great books and made predictions and attempted to become the leadership of various movements that didn't really do anything. Their 1977 Political Statement outlines their political vision as well as the ongoing debates among Brigade members. This edition also includes a chronology of Brigade actions.

October 14] 1888 [2] – July 6, 1934) was a Ukrainian anarcho-communist guerrilla leader turned army commander who led an independent anarchist army in Ukraine during the Russian Civil War. A commander of the peasant Revolutionary Insurrectionary Army of Ukraine, also known as the Anarchist Black Army, Makhno led a guerrilla campaign during the Russian Civil War. He supported the Bolsheviks, the Ukrainian Directory, the Bolsheviks again, and then turned to organizing the Free Territory of Ukraine, an anarchist society. This project was cut short by the consolidation of Bolshevik power. Makhno was described by anarchist theorist Emma Goldman as an extraordinary figure leading a revolutionary peasants' movement.[3] He is also credited as the inventor of the tachanka, a horse-drawn platform mounting a heavy machine gun.

312 Theory of the Dérive

Debord, Guy Pamphlet

Brand New!

10 page stapled pamphlet/zine style publication. In psychogeography, a dérive is an unplanned journey through a landscape, usually urban, on which the subtle aesthetic contours of the surrounding architecture and geography subconsciously direct the travellers, with the ultimate goal of encountering an entirely new and authentic experience. Situationist theorist Guy Debord defines the dérive as a mode of experimental behavior linked to the conditions of urban society: a technique of rapid passage through varied ambiances. He also notes that the term also designates a specific uninterrupted period of dériving.[1] The term is literally translated into English as drift.

Matthews, Jan D. Quiver Distro 2004

New 44 p. photocopied stapled pamphlet

When examined, answer with questions-Graffiti Paris, 1968 Most people don t like being told what to do. Any institution that aims to structure and regiment a person s life is, to a certain extent, in conflict with that person. The interesting thing is that that person is not always in willful conflict with the institution. Those who are obedient and fulfill their role as students understandably try to ignore the negative effects their schooling is having on them. But who would honestly deny that these effects are quite visible? Students are taught, through the process of schooling, to be conformist, unimaginative, docile, and a great many other things that are by and large considered virtues in the working world. Stay this way and you may never feel good about yourself, but you will be congratulated by authority figures for the rest of your life.

326 War is a Racket

Butler, General Smedley D. Olympia, Washington Last Word Press 2010 Stapled, photocopied pamphlet/zine

New

12 pages stapled zine/pamphlet. War is a Racket is the title of two works, a speech and a booklet, by former U.S. Marine Major General Smedley Darlington Butler, one of only 19 people to be twice awarded the Medal of Honor, in which Butler frankly discusses from his experience as a career military officer how business interests have commercially benefited from warfare. After he retired from the Marine Corps., Gen. Butler made a nationwide tour in the early 1930s giving his speech "War is a Racket". The speech was so well received that he wrote a longer version as a small book with the same title that was published in 1935 by Round Table Press, Inc., New York. The booklet was also condensed in Reader's Digest (may they rot in hell) as a book supplement which helped popularize his message. Last Word Press offers a wide selection of products and services, including publishing, editing and printing. 328 We Were So Terribly Consistent...a conversation about the history of the RAF

Wisniewski, Stefan & TAZ 1-894946-08-1 / 9781894946087 Zine/Pamphlet

Brand New!

The Red Army Faction was an underground revolutionary organization devoted to carrying out armed attacks within the Federal Republic of Germany, with a view to establishing a tradition of illegal, guerilla resistance to imperialism and state repression. Stefan Wisniewski joined the guerilla shortly after the death of prisoner Holger Meins during a RAF hunger strike in 1974. By 1977, Wisniewski was participating in a campaign of attacks that would shake German society to its core. In this candid interview, conducted in 1997, Wisniewski looks on his own life, and on his generation's revolt, including the lessons of the RAF, while honestly grappling with the errors committed during its history of armed struggle against imperialism. Stefan Wisniewski was captured in 1978 and spent twenty-one years in West German prisons for his participation in the RAF's struggle against western imperialism. This interview was conducted by Petra Groll and Juergen Gottschlich of taz newspaper in 1997, and appears here for the first time in english, translated by André Moncourt and J. Smith.
